Alicante Tournament aftermatch

By | 2008-09-24

First tablesLast weekend I took part in Alicante Go Tournament, as organizer and player. People from different cities of Spain (and London) came to play. At the beginning I suffered a lot of stress, due to some later time problems with the venue, but finally we had a smooth tournament, with a familiar mood among 36 players.

I won 3 out of 5, quite good result, beating some a priori stronger players. The tournament was also the “ambassador cup”, a korean event to decide the Spanish representative who will take part in the World Championships in Korean next November, and I’m really happy about the result: Pablo Morales, a young player from Alicante, make it with surprises and became the best Spanish in the tournament, getting the right for going to Korea (for free!). Congrats!

But the best part of all was the weather… I’ve come back to Barcelona, and it’s too cold for September!
